West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre

Selly Oak is privileged to have the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre located within our constituency. Regarded as Birmingham's leading rehabilitation centre, this specialist facility provides exceptional support for patients with physical, cognitive, emotional and social disabilities. They undertake remarkable work each day to help people get back to working, talking, and living independently again.

I was honoured to visit the Rehabilitation Centre in August, and witness first-hand the work which takes place here. I wish to personally commend the staff whose dedication allows them to provide brilliant care to their patients.

In June 2025, I was pleased to see the centre secure government funding from the Estates Safety fund. This investment will support the general maintenance of the facility to ensure it remains operational and safe for patients and staff.

Rehab doesn’t always get the attention that other parts of the NHS do, but it is just as important. As the government looks to deliver its 10-Year Health Plan, we must ensure that these facilities are well supported so that everyone can access the treatment they need.
